Andermatt and Novonesis join hands to launch Cell-Tech® for soy farmers in Africa.

Celebrate Nelson Mandela Day today by honoring his legacy through volunteering and community service. Mandela Day reminds us that everyone has the power to make a meaningful impact.

In South Africa, the day is celebrated by dedicating 67 minutes to supporting and encouraging individuals to contribute to positive change. The 67 minutes symbolises the 67 years Mandela dedicated to justice, equality and human rights for all.

Our Andermatt South African companies are proudly supporting Mandela Day:

Our team has been very busy packing for one of our loyal customers, Food & Trees for Africa. We are proud to support them by donating V¹² Multi for their EduPlant programme in honour of Nelson Mandela Day.

‘Throughout July and August, Food & Trees for Africa will roll out the second round of #ClimateChange Awareness Programme workshops across 29 schools in Gauteng. Supported by the Gauteng Department of Agriculture, Rural Development & Environment (GDARDE), the programme was a resounding success in 2023, inspiring many learners to initiate #climateaction plans within their schools.’

Besides Andermatt PHP’s mission to contribute to sustainable food production within a healthy environment, we acknowledge our responsibility towards creating a healthy social environment as well. Mandela Day on the 18th July is a great time to make a positive impact to the most vulnerable in our community.

APHP set the challenge of training and completing a 10km race. For each kilometer completed, R50 was pledged to Angels Care, a Howick-based charity organization. 25 team members signed up, put in the training and showed up on race day with determination, smiles and ladybirds all around. Collectively raising R12 500.00 for Angel’s Care.

During March, our team travelled with James to Kenya, visiting growers across a varied range of crops. The response was so well received that, in April, our Zimbabwean team returned to visit Sesisonke with their ‘lighthouse’ farmers to continue and share the learning.

How can you spend 67 minutes this Mandela Day impacting someone else’s well-being? We invite you to join us in making a difference today!
