Upwards and onwards

It’s encouraging to reflect on the first quarter of 2023. As always at Andermatt in Africa, we continue to pioneer new areas, new crops and new solutions. There is much to accomplish and many challenges to overcome. Our learning curve is steep but fortunately, our grit and determination are truly African. I am proud and confident that we are laying solid foundations to realise the vision of Healthy Food and Healthy Environment, for all.
The highlight this quarter was the Technical and Training Tour, held at the Nottingham Road Hotel, in KZN, South Africa in early March. New distributors, agents and key staff from the Central and Eastern Africa region were in attendance. The ‘Tech Tour’ program incorporated a wide range of biological discussions, product training, farm visits and tours of Andermatt Madumbi and Andermatt PHP’s key production facilities.
The key objectives of the tour included:
- Entrenching trust, belief and appreciation in the Andermatt approach and solutions, to enable partners to integrate solutions in their respective markets with confidence.
- To reinforce the quality and requirements for producing, storing and distributing biologicals to ensure value is consistently delivered to farms.
- To facilitate practical tools of how to use biologicals effectively (both alone and in chemical programs), ensuring best results and managing expectations on farm.
- At every opportunity, we prioritise product training and knowledge transfer. In person presentations and discussions with the Andermatt Group product managers facilitated open, honest product discussions with our experts.
- Lastly – seeing is believing! Farm visits and factory/facility tours reinforced our commitment to investing in the future.
